Darvin Gill

Darvin Gill joined Missouri Western in April 2025 after spending the last two years as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), where he helped lead his team to a single-season record 28 wins this past season and an appearance in the Chipotle Nationals championship game.

Gill brings more than 20 years of coaching experience in all, with assistant stops at The Webb School (Bell Buckle, Tenn.), NCAA Division II Christian Brothers University (Memphis, Tenn.), White County High School (Sparta, Tenn.), Cannon County High School (Woodbury, Tenn.) and DeKalb County High School (Smithville, Tenn.).

A Smithville, Tennessee native, Gill worked at the Division I level at his alma mater, Middle Tennessee State University, serving as Video/Advance Scout Coordinator from 2019-21. He was part of a women’s basketball team that won both the Conference USA regular season and conference championship in 2021.

Gill was previously head coach with the Tennessee Flight – an elite travel program within the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) – from 2013-2019, while also serving as head women’s basketball coach at Rhea County High School (Evensville, Tenn.) from 2016-19.

Gill was named as a Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee (BCAT) East All-Stars Head Coach in 2019. He’s a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), and earned Conference and District Coach of the Year honors in 2017 and 2018.
