- WESTERN TENNIS INKS ONE FOR 2011 SEASON
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western women’s tennis coach Ron Selkirk has announced the signing of one student-athlete for the 2011 season. Erin Ward from Florissant, Mo. has signed on to play for the Griffons next season.

- GRIFFON TENNIS SET TO COMPETE IN MIAA CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
Women's Bracket ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Western tennis team will compete in the MIAA Championship Tournament this weekend at the Plaza Tennis Center in Kansas City, Mo. The Griffons will open up action on Saturday, April 24 against the #1 seed Northwest Missouri State Bearcats at 9:30 am. The Griffons will take on either the 4th seed Truman State Bulldogs or the 5th seed Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks in the second match of the day with a time to be determined.

- GRIFFON TENNIS FALLS 9-0 AGAINST BEARCATS IN FINAL HOME CONTEST
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Western women’s tennis team fell 9-0 against the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats in St. Joseph, Mo. in their final home match of the season. Western sits at 1-13 overall and 0-7 in MIAA play.

Box Score ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Western tennis team fell to the Truman State Bulldogs 8-1 in MIAA action in St. Joseph, Mo. The Griffons lone victory came from their No. 6 single player Sarah Hatten as she beat Kirstyn Sampias 6-2 and 6-1. The Griffons sit at 1-7 overall and 0-3 in MIAA play. UMSL Box UNK Box ST. JOSEPH, Mo.- The Missouri Western tennis team fell in two matches on Friday and Saturday. Western fell to the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, March 12 by a score of 8-1 and then fell to the University of Nebraska-Kearney 9-0 on Saturday morning. The Griffons sit at 1-4 overall and will return to action on March 23 when they travel to Omaha, Neb. to take on the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. Game time is set for 3:30 pm.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Western tennis match scheduled for today with Northwest Missouri State University has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 21 at 3:00 pm in St. Joseph, Mo. The match is scheduled to be played at Noyes Tennis Center but if there is poor weather it will be played inside at the St. Joseph Tennis and Swim Club.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western women’s tennis coach Ron Selkirk has announced the singing of two players to NCAA National Letter’s of Intent. The Griffons will bring in two products of Savannah High School as Katie Field and Katherine Guinn signed to wear black and gold starting in the fall of 2010.
