ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Teams from throughout the NCAA Division II Softball Central Region will converge on St. Joseph this weekend as Griffon Softball hosts the MWSU/Apple Market Classic. Eight teams from the MIAA and seven from the Northern Sun Conference will compete at both the MWSU Spring Sports Complex and Heritage Park Softball Complex over the three days. Headed into the weekend, four teams in the field are ranked in the NFCA Top-25, with one other receiving votes. 
 
An admission fee of $5.00 per day will be charged at each venue with the fee being good all day at both venues with children 6 & under being admitted free. 
 
Heritage Park Softball Complex is located at 2202 Waterworks Road and features four fields, three of which will be used for tournament play.  The complex has hosted numerous national tournaments including the 2010 NCAA Division II Softball National Championship. The MWSU Spring Sports Complex is located on the campus of Missouri Western State University on McArthur Drive, just off the Faraon Street entrance.
