ST. JOSEPH - Motivation won't be a problem when Griffon Football travels to No. 19 Emporia State this Saturday. Missouri Western is looking to rebound after a 21-7 loss to Washburn at home last weekend. The Griffons will also look to snap a two-game skid against Emporia State. 

Emporia State is also coming off a tough loss a week ago. The Hornets suffered their first loss of the season at Fort Hays State, 27-24, allowing a Fort Hays touchdown in the final minute of the game to claim the win. It will be Missouri Western's first trip to Emporia since 2012, a 57-28 MWSU win. Emporia State has claimed the last two contests, both in St. Joseph. Last year Emporia State took advantage of four MWSU turnovers and two missed field goals in a 30-10 victory on the Griffons' homecoming.
