KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Western volleyball struggles continue as they fell in three sets to the Rockhurst University Hawks by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-10. Western sits at 7-12 overall as they head back into MIAA play on Friday, October 9 when they travel to Omaha, Neb. to take on the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks.
Western struggled hitting the ball as they only had 21 kills to their 21 errors in the contest. Kelli Sicner led the way with six kills while Lauren Burbach had 15 set assists and Britny Pearl had nine digs.
The Hawks improved to 11-9 on the season with Katy Hernandez leading the way with ten kills. Boomie Williams had 33 set assists while Andrea Schroeder had 15 digs. The Hawks hit .305 as a team with 41 kills and 47 digs.
